VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Community Impact Coordinator works to engage and educate the community about the organization and its goals. Alongside the Human Resources team, the Community Impact Coordinator is be expected to design and implement a community (virtual) event to recruit volunteers. The Community Impact Coordinator will also take part in community fundraising events and identify a respective sponsor list based on past donations or likelihood of future donations.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Volunteer recruitment strategies
- Creation, development and implementation of community events
- Creation, development and implementation of community fundraisers
- Creation of strategies to retain current partners, volunteers and donors
- Creation, development and implementation of media campaigns
QUALIFICATIONS
- Greater understanding of the organization’s cause
- Greater desire of the community to support the organization financially
- Empowerment of local community to effect change around cause
- Great communication and organization skills
Volunteer Details
- Time Commitment: Minimum of 2-5 virtual hours per month; which may one virtual meeting per month. One-year commitment is required.
