Are you interested in exploring the world, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures? CIEE, the nonprofit leader in international exchange, is looking for families in the Paradise area to host one of our international high school students who will be attending high school here in the fall!

Host Families:

• Accept a student into their home as a part of their family for one or two semesters
• Provide a bed and room (student can share a room with a host sibling of the same gender)
• Share 3 meals a day (other meals or school lunches are student's responsibility)
• Receive local and regional support 24/7 from well-trained staff and Local Coordinators

Our Students:

• Are between the ages of 15 and 18 (Grades 10-12)
• Speak English
• Have access to their own spending money
• Have health insurance coverage through CIEE
• Well screened and thoroughly tested

Becoming a CIEE host family is an experience of mutual discovery. When you give an international student the opportunity to explore American culture through your eyes, you'll discover a new culture as well, by experiencing new values, traditions, languages and foods.

Girl. MAYTAVINEE is a 16 year old girl from THAILAND. I’m a pretty polite and confident young girl with good-humored and easy to laugh whenever I listen or hear any funny things/stories. I always find the new things to do beside the normal daily life. I like listening to music, singing, drawing, dancing and do some adventure to the new places. I love dancing. I also love having pets so much especially dog or cat and I would love to take care of them once in my life. I’m looking forward to teach and show how to cook Thai foods and do the other activities together with my host family and the people in the community. I’m quite sure I have a lot about Thailand to share with you and your family especially why Thailand has the greatest King of the world and how Thailand is a land of Smile!

Boy. Christopher is a 17 year old boy from ITALY. My name is Christopher, I’m seventeen years old and I live in Italy. I love sports like swimming and skiing. I really want to make a lot of friends during my stay and I hope to become part of a new family. My character is positive and sunny, I like to have fun but I can be serious when needed. When I’m alone I like to listen to Italian and American rap music. At home, I also watch funny videos on YouTube with my little brother: we like laughing together. I often go out with my friends, but I’m also really happy when I’m with my parents and my brother and we watch TV together or play cards. For this year I’ve been elected as class representative together with another classmate. In this role I hope to create a better communication between students and Professors. From my Exchange year in the USA, I hope to become more mature and independent.
