Planting Day Volunteers Needed May 20!

We need your help cleaning up and getting ready for a new garden/outdoor space. Volunteers will assist with general gardening clean-up and planting, which includes: planting flowers, vegetables, and plants; raking; weeding; removing mulch/wood chips; moving yard debris to a brush pile; picking up trash and/or disposing of unneeded items; and other duties as needed.
Activity will take place outside, weather permitting on Saturday, May 20 from 9am - until finished or you need to leave. Bring sunscreen, perhaps bug spray, and gloves, if available. Dressing in layers is recommended.

Description
When you join our volunteer team, you will receive training, supervision, diverse educational experiences, and opportunities for personal growth. Various positions are available throughout Fairfax County and the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church. The times and days available are flexible and include some evening and weekend opportunities, as well as regular weekday hours. By providing direct service, administrative support, or participating in special projects, volunteers are valuable members of our team.
