A Step Ahead is looking for people who would be willing to help us spread the word about our mission - providing free long acting reversiable contracption to any woman in East Tennessee.
We are embarking on a grassroots campaign of to raise awareness and our voice. From delivering posters and brochures to our community partners to speaking at social engangements we are looking for a solid team of volunteers who are dedicated to empowering women and want to help.
First week of April - delivering posters, brochures and rack cards to community partners
Second week of April - posting posters in community center's, health clinics, cofffee shops, etc.
Third week of April - Social media launch
We will also be doing a mailing campaign in the last week of April / first week of May for Teen pregnancy prevention month (May).

A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee is dedicated to improving the educational, economic and health outcomes of women and children in our community by providing access to family planning education and long acting reversible contraception (LARC).
Description
A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee has 3 main programs that we are operating: Graduate First - designed to work with local community colleges, university's and college prep programs to raise awareness of the impact of an unplanned pregnancy on successful graduation and provide education about the most effective forms of birth control available from abstinence to long acting reversible contraception. Breaking Barriers - designed to work with disadvantaged and economically struggling women to identify goals, develop life plan and to identify barriers that are caused by an unplanned pregnAndy there for creating an opportunity to break the cycle of inter generational poverty. Empowering women at risk - Empower women at risk of having a baby exposed to prescription drugs (Opiodis) or illegal drugs through working with responsible pain management providers, drug rehabilitation centers, support groups and other community partners with a strong focus on family planning education, impact of giving birth to a baby that has been exposed to Opioids/illegal drugs and provide access to long acting reversible contraception to prevent an unplanned pregnancy.
