The Orange County Communities Organized for Responsible Development (OCCORD) and the LGBT Center of Orange County are organizing a Citizenship Fair April 22nd at the Sycamore Jr. High School and it's going to be one of larger ones out of a series of clinics we’re hosting until summer! Help us make this one amazing!
We are looking for volunteers on Saturday, April 22 to help fill out the N-400 (citizenship) applications from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This event will held at the Sycamore Jr. High: 1805 E. Sycamore St. Anaheim, CA 92805
Minimum requirements to assist with the citizenship application are to be 18 years or older, and be able to read and write English. English speakers bilingual in Spanish are a huge plus!!
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: N-400 training.
There will be a training for new volunteers at 7:45am. Returning volunteers have the choice to arrive for the AM Shift (8:00am-1:00pm) or PM Shift (12:00pm-4:30pm) If you need to leave early, please feel free to communicate it. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and free parking is available on site. We are looking for as many people as possible to help protect the immigrant community against deportation and this ever prevalent anti-immigrant rhetoric.
If you are interested in volunteering and/or want to RSVP for a different day, please fill out this form:
I am alerted every time someone fills this form out so I will know who has RSVP’d and I will send out a reminder email the week of the fair. If you would like more information, please contact Jorge Hermosillo directly at jorge.hermosillo@lgbtcenteroc.org
