The Girls on the Run Digital Marketing Intern works with the Girls on the Run DFW Metroplex staff to support Girls on the Run in marketing and communication strategies and outreach efforts, development, and stewardship efforts.
The Girls on the Run internship will provide a business/marketing mentorship with a recommendation at completion. Will provide documentation to University or school for credit.
Duties may include:
- Support and enhance marketing strategies using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Assist with efforts to promote programs, special events, campaigns and 5K celebration through social media.
Commitment:
- Our internship will require 15-20 hours per week.
- Work times are flexible and remote via personal computer.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of digital marketing including social media strategies to increase engagement.
- Excellent research, writing and organizational skills.
- A motivated self-starter.
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines.
- Strong belief in mission of Girls on the Run.

Girls on the Run is a life-changing, non-profit program for girls in the 3rd through 8th grade. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running."
The 20-lesson Girls on the Run curriculum combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with lessons that inspire girls to become independent thinkers, enhance their problem solving skills and make healthy decisions. All of this is accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.
