About: Habitat of Greater Orlando
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization whose vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
Opportunities for Service:
- Groups: Whether you’re a faith-based group, business or student youth group, we welcome you to volunteer on our build sites or at our ReStores. There’s no experience needed for either of these locations ... just the enthusiasm to help make a difference in your community!
- Individuals: There are plenty of ways to give of your time as an individual! For our construction sites, Habitat welcomes volunteers of all skill levels. Each job site is supervised by seasoned professionals who will guide you as we transform lives and our community. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
- Become a Crew Leader: If you have volunteered on our job sites and would like to get more involved, consider joining our team as a Crew Leader! Crew Leaders volunteer a few times per month, typically on Saturdays, and help lead groups of volunteers on Habitat’s job sites. No construction experience is necessary!
