ORGANIZATION: Family Eldercare

Do you like interacting with people and making a direct difference in their day? Then the Summer Fan Drive Office position is right for you! Office volunteers are a critical part of the daily grind for the Summer Fan Drive. Shifts are available Monday thru Friday and are either 9:00am to 12:00pm or 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Duties include distributing fans to walk-in clients, assist Fan Drive clients with connecting to additional resources, answering the Fan Drive hotline, returning voice mails, completing Fan Drive forms. Volunteers must be over 18 years old due to the nature of the position. Since this position is vital to the Summer Fan Drive, volunteers should be able to help throughout the summer and must sign up for shifts in advance, but scheduling is flexible.

Description

Family Eldercare is a nonprofit agency that has been providing services to older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers in the Austin, Texas area since 1982. Programs and services include: housing and stability, in-home counseling, guardianship, virtual activities for isolated older adults, service coordination, and our annual summer fan drive.
