Peninsula READS (Peninsula Literacy Council)
Volunteer Tutors are needed at various times throughout the day to help adults learn the literacy skills necessary for them to function more effectively in their lives and community. Scheduling is flexible, and we have a need for tutors at local libraries throughout the Peninsula.

Peninsula READS: Provides literacy skills necessary for adults to function more effectively in their lives and community.
Since 1968, Peninsula READS has served the areas of Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson, and York, by recruiting and training volunteers to provide individual or small group instruction to adults who need to improve their basic reading, writing, and/or English speaking skills. Services are available to adults (18 and over), who are not attending or enrolled in school or college.
We'll work with your schedule.
