WHAT: This is a virtual volunteer opportunity for anyone in Pennsylvania or elsewhere with contacts in Pennsylvania.

WHERE: We are looking for your help with broad community outreach promotion for our Walk Like MADD events in Pittsburgh PA, Philadelphia PA, Williamsport PA and Schuylkill Haven PA

This is a simple service opportunity that can take a couple of minutes of your time... to something of greater significance and great time commitment from your home location.

WHY:
Community-based marketing is critical to our Walk Like MADD team recruitment outreach.

HOW:

When you submit your interest through this web page, you will receive a PDF file of containing flier that we ask you to save the PDF and post on your social media to promote the four Pennsylvania Walk Like MADD events linking to specific walk web addresses

For volunteers across Pennsylvania you can also assist by ensuring copies of the fliers are posted on community boards at locations across the State.

MADD is a grassroots organization and we ask you to help us to get creative when it comes to promoting these event.

ONE ADDITIONAL WAY TO HELP:
Think how we can help get the word out and recruit teams. Contact Malcolm.Friend@madd.org to receive additional materials to share with interested parties including social media campaigns for each walk.

THIS IS NOT JUST A ONE-TIME MESSAGE
People often have to see something about seven times before they act. Make sure your community outreach includes multiple touches including mutliple social media posts.

MORE TIME TO HELP?
Consider writing a short piece about Walk Like MADD and send it to community publications such as community papers and event calendars, as well as church, gym and homeowner associations’ newsletters. There are over 80 such events nationally and we will be happy to connect you with your local walk committee.
