Ever wonder what it was like to live on a farm? It’s not an easy job but it can be well worth it. The event will include farm tours, cattle corral, a petting zoo, face painting, live music, photo booth, a farmers market, food trucks, crafts, and much more!
There are many volunteer positions to choose from including set up, tear down, activity stations and more. Each are extremely important to the success of the festival! Please let us know what shift you would like to work when you register and we’ll do our best to place you somewhere you’ll enjoy.

Morning shift 9:00am-12:30pm OR/AND Afternoon shift 11:30am -3:00pm
NOTE: These are the only available time slots - no exceptions
You may volunteer all day in the same position or different job positions
- Parking Lot Monitor - MUST BE 18 YRS OR OLDER - Direct visitors and assist rangers with monitoring parking lot traffic
- Water station - Keep water flowing, make sure cups are available for visitors
- Welcome table - Handout items, welcome visitors, assist with questions
- Farm Tours - Assist farmers by keeping tour group together, asking visitors to not pick produce or walk on the beds
- Kids Craft - Monitor and manage
- Haybale Pully, Millking Cows, Roping Branding Steers - Monitor activity, demonstrate pulleys as needed,
talk to visitors about pulley systems (will be provided information). Monitor and manage demonstration milking cows. - Photo Cutout Attendant - Take photos of visitors. Monitor line/crowd control
- Carnival Zone - Assist with games
- Face Painting Attendant - Line/crowd control. Single line control for two stations.
- Truck & Tractor Area - Keep visitors off equipment. Assist with taking photos
- Art Gallery - Supervise paintings
- Trail Watch - Monitor between visitor center and farm stand. Security for life estate.
- Master Gardner Assistant - work with kids at the table
Volunteers will receive a confirmation with their placement once they are registered and an event reminder with position details. All volunteers should bring a water bottle, sunscreen and hat. Snacks for volunteers will be available, but please bring a lunch.
Please note: Spring Festival volunteers must be 16 year of age or older. Volunteers 16-17 must have a parent or legal guardian sign a volunteer waiver before they can participate.

Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.
