Hi Awesome LAPF volunteers!!!

We have super fun volunteer opportunity coming up and there is a brand new limited edition lLAPF tee shirt in it for you!!!!

We are holding the launch party for our newest initiative with the Getty Museum - so this is perfect for you art lovers!! The event is next Wednesday April 5th at LA Plaza de la Cultura y Artes in downtown LA from 4 to 7pm. ish.

We need volunteers for the following assignments (see below. Parking is provided and dress is business casual (no tees or sneakers please! ).

Let me know if you can make it out. It will be an awesome event! - expect around 500 people.

Bartender - 6 people:

• Be present at bar from 4:30-7:30
• Pour wine and agua fresca, hand out waters

Check-in - 4 people:

• Be present at check-in from 4:15-6:00 (2 representatives stay til end)

• Check people in as they arrive
• Distribute parking validation to registered attendees
• Provide nametags to museum representatives
• Make new nametags for museum representatives as needed
• Register new attendees as needed

Resource Table - 2:

• Be present at resource tables from 4:30-7:30

• Help teachers sign up for programs
• Pass out promotional supplies and materials
• Act as point of contact for outside vendors
• Facilitate traffic flow in the area
• Act as ambassador for upcoming programming

Parking Moderators - 4 (2 at each garage):

• Be present at parking garage from 4:00-5:30
• Instruct attendees where to park
• Offer directions to venue

Set-Up (all hands available):

• Be present at LA Plaza from 1PM-3PM
• Transport supplies from HQ
• Set up furniture and decorations

Vendor Liaison (2 people):

• Be present at LA Plaza from 3PM-8:00PM
• Coordinate arrival schedule with vendor(s)
• Facilitate load-in and load-out with vendor
• Act as vendor’s point of contact before and during event
• Assist in crowd control, supply needs, or other issues that might arise
