People see or hear the word RESPITE and think I would need to take care of someone.
That's true for the caregiver, but NOT for he volunteer. The caregiver would make sure any medical or daily personal cares have already been taken care of and you would be there for companionship and supervison only, so the caregiver could get a break.
We have needs for children, adults and seniors who either have a disability, chronic health condition or who are frail.
So, what do you do? Talk, listen, laugh, play a game, do a puzzle, go for a walk, tinker in the garage, sit outside, play cards, listen to music, watch TV together, read and more.
So, when do you do it? Day, Night, Weekends (you pick) 2,3 or 4 hours each time (you pick) 1,2,3 or 4 times a month (you pick).
