We are seeking the assistance of an experienced attorney to assist with several areas of nonprofit corporate law related to contract, employment, and tax law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, edit and/or draft contracts.
• Provide advice to support routine contractual and legal issues
• Review and research best practices
  
• Research, analyze and summarize statutes, regulations and legal articles

Skills and Experience:

• J.D. degree with strong academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Membership in good standing with New York State Bar
• 10+ years of transactional experience in a law firm or in-house environment
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts is required
• Outstanding written communication skills, including accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
• Clear, concise, and comprehensive interpersonal communications; active listening skills; and understanding of business issues and challenges
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (especially MS Word and Excel)

Location

Depending on the volunteering opportunity, some or all of the volunteering may be done remotely with communication via email and phone rather than in-person.
