In search of individuals to assist in leading our peer support groups, NAMI Connection and Group Hope. Not therapy groups! The role of a support group leader is one of managing group dynamics and guiding participation. Facilitators must be willing to self-identify as living with mental illness, be living well in recovery and have good interpersonal communication skills.
Training will be provided.

Description
NAMI Northern Illinois is focused on making sure our community understands how important mental health is. We serve Winnebago, Boone, and all surrounding northern Illinois counties. Our members are families, friends, professionals, advocates and individuals living with mental illness themselves. We aim to raise awareness, educate, supply resources, support, and to advocate those who are impacted by mental illness in some way. We also work very hard to eliminate the stigma attached. Join us on our mission!
