Each summer, CCRI hosts an adaptive softball league open to people of all abilities from across the Red River Valley.
Volunteer coaches help cue athletes on things such as when to run to the next base, when they are up to bat, etc. Volunteer coaches also help athletes play the game by running the bases with them or assisting with fielding the ball.
Scorekeepers fill out rosters during the game by keeping track of game stats (runs, outs, hits, etc).
Games are Sunday nights from 5-6:30 so volunteer opportunity is Sundays from 4:45p-6:45p. Softball runs from June 25-August 6 (no games July 2).

Description
CCRI is a Moorhead-based nonprofit organization that began in 1977 when a group of parents wanted more for their children than institutionalized care. What started as one home serving eight people with disabilities in a community-based setting has grown into an agency serving more than 400 people through a variety of person-centered programs. CCRI empowers those with disabilities to:
- Live more independently.
- Build life skills.
- Participate more in the community.
- Have new experiences.
- Reach their full potential.
From 24-hour in-home support to rehabilitative mental health care, our services are as unique as each of the people we serve.
