Help prepare the shelter for opening by cleaning kennels and cages, washing laundry, toys and bowls.
Interact with cats at the shelter on a one-on-one basis. This interaction relieves potential boredom and satisfies the animals’ needs for playing and affection.
This is an opportunity to provide our cats with much needed socialization. You may also be asked to contribute information to help personalize the personality profile write-up, which is so important in helping the furkids be adopted into the appropriate home.
Interact with dogs at the shelter on a one-on-one basis. Walk, brush, bathe, train dogs as needed.

The mission of Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is to provide a licensed, No-Kill shelter for homeless animals until adopted into a loving and caring lifetime environment; to reduce the population of stray animals; and to promote responsible pet ownership.
Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is the only Cumberland County No-Kill, non-profit animal shelter supported by volunteers, grants and individual contributions. FAPS receives no state or federal funding to operate and relies solely on the community to support its mission in rescuing and successfully placing companion animals in their forever homes.
