Air Central Texas plans to attend Earth Day Austin - which is the largest sustainability event in Central Texas, however, we need help to make sure that we can speak to as many people as possible. Join us as a Clean Air Ambassador to help us spread the word about local air quality. Once we are provided more logistical information from the festival organizers about parking and loading/unloading supplies I will make sure that it is sent out to all that participate at the event. Mission Statement
Air Central Texas (ACT) is a regional clean air campaign for the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which consists of Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson Counties.
Description
The purpose of ACT is to:
- be the region’s comprehensive source for air quality information
- increase public awareness about regional air quality and how people can protect themselves and people they care for from air pollution
- increase public willingness to take action to improve air quality and how they can have an effort on air quality
- promote consistent regional air quality messaging
