ORGANIZATION: Center for Suicide Awareness/ Walk for Suicide Awareness

Need talented people to help write grants for the ongoing needs of the Center for Suicide Awareness which is a non-profit that coordinates and collaborates with others, including schools, law enforcement and other charitable organizations and agencies to help maximize use of resources to help educated, prevent, and support those who are affected by suicide. Also in assisting survivors of suicide by giving them a 'voice" in the component of utilizing education in helping prevent suicide. Will engage in education, intervention,prevention, and awareness teaching, presentation, and instruction. provide post vention support for people that have been impacted by suicide. Will be a hub and "go to" center for people and help direct and guide people to the appropriate resources. Will baring about awareness in efforts in reduce stigma. Promote QPR training as well as provide them.

Description

We offer HopeLine, a 24/7 emotional text based emotional support that is statewide, support groups for youth survivors of suicide, adult survivors of suicide, military and veteran family support groups, finding hope after an attempt, caring for someone after an attempt, alcohol anonymous (AA) group, Heroin Anonymous (HA)-coming soon, training and speaking events in local schools, law enforcement groups, and other free community events such as Walk for Suicide Awareness, Bash for the Brave, motorcycle for awareness,and other imformational booths at other community venues
