Project Manager (Manhattan)

We are looking for an experienced project manager with 3+ years of experience to help manage our volunteer projects and improve operations.

Activities

Our volunteers are focused on writing content, developing software, planning research and managing websites to improve public health and healthcare related to the fields of addiction, cancer, HIV/AIDS, medical marijuana, neurology and sleep medicine.

Location

Depending on the volunteering opportunity, some or all of the volunteering may be done remotely with communication via email and phone rather than in-person.

General Responsibilities

• Maintain project plans and manage week-to-week execution of associated tasks: planning, tracking, and documentation.
• Participate in project process improvement activities to improve quality
• Track, manage and facilitate communication with volunteers to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
• Experience working remotely and managing off-site employees

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience leading complex projects.
• Ability to work independently, using good judgment and initiative.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills, time management and analytical skills.
• Experience working in a software development environment a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
