We are looking for a Strong Python Developer with 2+ years of experience to help us scrape, automate and interact with a cloud based database.

Location

Depending on the volunteering opportunity, some or all of the volunteering may be done remotely with communication via email and phone rather than in-person.

Skills: Expertise with Python and Experience with Javascript, manipulating DOM, Scrapy, Beautiful Soup, Selenium, Experience with relational databases (primarily MySQL), R a plus.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Drive the design and implementation for automating activity in the Cloud.
• Perform needs discovery for tools and infrastructure.
• Identify and recommend tools to automate existing tools and processes.
• Develop tools to acheive objectives as needed

Preferred applicant qualifications:

• 2+ years relevant work experience
• Work experience in Operations and Automation in a medium to large company.
• Responsiblility for maintaining the tools for an engineering team, helping with the system administration and release automation.
• Background as an engineer who has dealt with operational issues and who has written code to solve specific issues, or have a background in a DevOps role.
• Fluency in scripting languages like Python
• Strong familiarity with SOAP/REST APIs, JavaScript, JSON, XML
• Solid experience with Azure, AWS and/or Google Cloud and the automation capabilities from those providers
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
