About

Are you interested in Japanese culture or gardening? Do you have interest or experience in education or curriculum development? If so, this could be the opportunity for you!

The Japanese Friendship Garden is seeking curious, self-motivated volunteers to develop a wide variety of crafts and activities related to Japanese culture that can be used for festivals, summer camps, school outreach programs, and more! Volunteers would research various Japanese art forms, crafts and games, e.g. origami, bonsai, children's games, etc. and develop economically viable activities based on research findings. Although the primary target audience is children, activities should allow for participants of all ages.

A minimum commitment of 20 hours over the course of one month is expected for this position. Please be prepared to submit a resume as well as attending a formal interview.
