Pinwheel Place seeks a creative person passionate about writing, communication and about making a difference in children's lives.

This opportunity is for you if you love to create irresstible, impossible to ignore content that motivates and inspires people to make a difference.

As a Copywriter volunteer you know:

How to write subject lines that are specific, concrete, yet engaging
How to structure your content so that readers sustain interest in reading
How to communicate idealistic ideas that people want to read and take action!
How to write powerful calls to action! How to get an audience excited about Pinwheel Place, upcoming Pinwheel Place events, and more!

Duties

Responsible for marketing copy for events, website, auctions, newsletters, and other communication as needed.
Assists other departments with copy and copy editing for their public-facing projects.
Follows branding guidelines.
Understands and can evaluate different copy needs for different projects, e.g. a flier versus a Tweet.
Has an excellent command of English language and grammar.
Can provide a creative and unique voice to Pinwheel Place.
Can follow up in order to get all the data needed for a project.
Is an independent, effective, and timely worker.
Handles feedback well and can work cohesively with others.
Can contribute blog posts.
Has the time and energy to help out when needed for the success of Pinwheel Place's campaigns.

Qualifications
Degree in OR extreme passion, plus experience, for English, Creative Writing, Communications, and/or Journalism.
A love of writing and being creative.
Must be a clear and effective communicator.
A good handle on grammar, style guides, and other technical knowledge of language.
Able to research unfamiliar topics.
Understands marketing messages and how to tailor messages for the audience.
Passion for making a difference in children's lives
