Our program is Sharing Health & Wellness through Education. The program includes 4 components, academics, personal finance, health & wellness and Bible Study.
This opportunity is for individuals who are interested in helping adults to read, comprehend, live better and contribute to their communities. This is a one on one process where tutor volunteers meet with an individual learner to review their assignments, make corrections, and deliver goals for the next week. Tutor Volunteers may join us to do areas where they are most comfortable. Tutors are trained and prepared to carry out their responsibilities.
The program has 8 week segments. Weekly contact with learner is a commitment of 1-1/2 to 2 hours maximum for 8 weeks. Times for meeting are agreed between the tutor volunteer and the learner, at a public place--preferably the Library.
