If you enjoy gardening with friendly, like-minded people, here is a unique Earth Day opportunity for you: Help maintain an East-Bay ecological jewel. We'll weed, remove dead branches, spread mulch, and plant while enjoying the spectacular view of the San Francisco Bay. Open to all. Gloves, tools, and refreshments provided. Of course, please carpool or take public transportation if you can. Shuttles from Rockridge BART available upon request.

Mission Statement
The Oakland Landscape Committee is a community-based landscape committee in Oakland that works on developing and maintaining school and public gardens, tree planting, creek restoration, vegetation management We help in maintaining the Firestorm Memorial Garden, the Gateway Way Garden/Emergency Preparedness Exhibit Center, the Frank Ogawa Firescape Garden, and also help in park maintenance at Oakland park sites such as the North Oakland Sports Field and Gateway Garden. and Morcom Rose Garden.
