Assist Guardian Ad Litems in advocacy of children that are involved with the Juvenile Court due to abuse or neglect. Monitor court orders, visit children to ensure safe and stable home, prepare court reports, attend shared decision making meetings. Description

The Pierce County Juvenile Court has exclusive juisdiction, as defined by RCW Title 13, over those juveniles within our community who violate the criminal laws of this state or who are in need of protection and advocacy as a result of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. The department is responsible for the effective administration of Juvenile Court, detention, intake/investigation, community supervision, dependency, diversion and adoption services.
