Join the Friends of Awbrey Park for their next First Saturday volunteer gathering. This month they are prepping for the Awbrey Park Wildflower Celebration. Help with trail maintenance by removing brush, pruning trail sides and weeding. The tasks are varied, the people are welcoming and the results are remarkable-wildflowers cover the banks of Spring Creek every spring. Tools, gloves and a snack are provided. Dress for the weather and to get dirty. Boots or sturdy shoes are best. For more information contact Carrie Karl at 541-682-4850 or carrie.l.karl@ci.eugene.or.us.
