This volunteer opportunity allows you to give back to your community while spending fun, interactive, meaningful time coloring Sexual Assault Survivors pre-made coloring pages with the residents in our Shelter Home. Join the movement and spread awareness about Sexual Assault through this volunteer opportunity. It is truly a special opportunity when our residents have volunteers come in to do activities and simply spend time with them. By participiating in this simple, laid back and fun opportunity you will be making a positive impact that the residents will always remember while they are staying in an unfamiliar environment.
**Time dependent on volunteer's availability - preferred after 3:30pm so children coming home from school can participate.

Description
Relief After Violent Encounter - Ionia and Montcalm, Inc. offers free and confidential services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. RAVE serves the communities located in Ionia and Montcalm counties. We have a rich history built on the hard work of these communities beginning in 1979. We offer legal, court and PPO advocacy, safety planning, support groups for residents, parents, schools/teachers, children, and outreach clients, crisis response and domestic assault response services, referrals, child and adult counseling, a 24/7 365 days/year crisis line and emergency shelter. Our shelter is located in Ionia and we have outreach services in both Ionia and Montcalm county.
