Agriculture will be the means to providing horticulture therapy (which has been demonstrated as a prudent treatment modality for anyone struggling with PTSD or Moral injury issues), peer-to-peer support and employment skills for men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
The United Relief Foundation is involved in assisting our new Hope and Help Partner, Growing Healthy Veterans, in starting their organization, structuring a Veterans support program model locally and eventually duplicating that program Nationwide, and in late April the Prairie Crossing project in Grayslake will begin, continuing until late fall.
The Prairie Crossing project will "farm" plots donated by the Liberty Prairie Foundation and there is a need for volunteers to cultivate, plant, nurture and harvest together with Veterans.
Also, support is needed for the attainment (donation or purchase) of necessities: seed, manure, shovels, etc.
To assure that you (or your group) have a rewarding experience and not disappointed, the United Relief Foundation shall assist in the coordination of your generous engagement.

Description
12 years and counting, and for the most part the United Relief Foundation continues to quietly go about making profound differences in the lives we've touched by providing Lifelines of Hope and Help.
Those who have served in the military don't consider themselves heroes because they believe their service to our Country was an honor and duty.
In the same spirit of honor and duty, Stand Tall with us in our service to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
In the service of those who have served,
Frank Salato
President
