Be a summer camp counselor at DISCOVERY Children’s Museum! The nonprofit DISCOVERY Children's Museum provides a vibrant and engaging experience, through exhibits and programs, where children from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds actively participate in playful learning experiences that ignite a love of lifelong learning. Each summer, we offer arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) day camps for kids ages 6-12. As a counselor, you'll develop leadership skills, build your resume, and inspire young minds through fun, hands on activities. This is a great opportunity for high school and college students, but all ages 14 and up are welcome to help. Training is provided. Camps are held at 360 Promenade Place, Las Vegas, NV 89106. Help for 1 or all 4 sessions: July 10-14; July 17-21; July 24-28; July 31-August 4. Work mornings from 8 am to 12 pm, afternoons from 1 to 5 pm, or both shifts. Description
Considered Nevada’s most popular museum, DISCOVERY Children's Museum at the Donald W. Reynolds Discovery Center has seen more than one million visitors since opening its doors in March 2013 as a private, nonprofit educational institution. Las Vegas’ only children’s museum addresses its core educational areas of science and nature, art and culture and early childhood development with 26,000 square feet of interactive hands-on exhibits. The 3-story museum is complete with nine interactive exhibition galleries featuring traveling exhibitions, daily programs, demonstrations and activities and collaborative cultural programming for all occasions.
