Are you a person who loves food and looks forward to the produce aisle? Do you secretly love grocery stores with a passion? We're looking for someone to do our Cooking Matters grocery shopping! This is a weekly job that would happen Tuesday mornings or afternoons (the food would need to be at the church no later than 2:30pm). HIP will supply a grocery list and the HIP credit card or one can be reimbursed (this option will take longer). One would need to know how to read recipies and scale properly to buy the correct amount food; and too have a sense for replacing similiar produce or products in recipies. Typically shopping would conduct at the local Fred Meyer, Grocery Outlet, Cash and Carry, or an affordable/reasonable grocery store near you. One can not only gain organizational skills and non-for profit service but we can include delicious and nutrituos recipes to the meals you would be purchasing!
