The Blue Heron Nature Preserve is looking for dedicated volunteers who want to get to know the ins and outs of everything going on at the Preserve. They will be trained and taught the history of the Preserve as well as what is going on currently. These knowledgabe volunteers will be recuited for events like our Earth Day Celebration (April 22nd) to be able to represent Blue Heron, answer questions guests may have, direct people around the Preserve, among other things. These volunteers are mostly needed for specific events throughout the year, but they can also stay engaged between events through grounds maintenance like weeding and trash pickup.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, so please reach out if you would like to get involved in any way.

Description

The Blue Heron Nature Preserve 501(c)(3) is a nonprofit organization which manages a 30-acre greenspace located in north Atlanta in partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks Department. The Preserve was founded in 2000 with the vision of being a haven for nature in an urban environment. Our mission is to create a personal experience in nature for everyone through engagement, preservation, education, research and advocacy.
