Our mission in outreach is to teach men and boys how to be Free On The Inside. Our ministry works with young males in Henry Wade Juvenile Justice Center and adult males in Dallas County Jail to break the cycle of addiction and poverty.

We are looking for someone who is interested in empowering at risk youth, young men and male adults in the justice system and helping the community.

Gather community groups and government community news, needs of low-income individuals and provide to Social Media Assistant to Outreach New to post activities on social media. This role is for someone who will use a variety of methods to collect and organize information and present to others on social media -Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Blogtalkradio.com and Online Newsletter.

Duties & Responsibilities

Participate in outreach events, and assist the Director of Outreach to mentor males and partner in community events to share resources with the community.

Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of Word, Powerpoint and Publisher

1. Ability to document and complete assigned tasks
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
3. Familiarity with social networking sites desired, but we will also train

Training will be provided to improve skills.

Intern will learn organizational management; improve communication skills; project management for nonprofit activities;

Length of Commitment:

Volunteer will work with Director of Outreach - "Free On the Inside Outreach Program". Schedule can be Monday thru Thursday, 10:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m., except events 5-6 hours.

This internship wil allow you to become well vetted in different research and data gathering tactical, organizational management. You will learn how to present information, learn how to provide thoughtful recommendationsl This can also be used as a community credit at high school or college.
