Hospice patients and their loved ones are eager to have visitors, especially with a wagging tail, who will provide a caring presence. Our volunteers provide emotional support, write letters, read to patients and much, much more. Therapy pets sometimes connect with a patient in a way a person cannot. AseraCare Hospice offers a free volunteer training in your area for people who have a desire to share their time and kindness. After completing training, volunteers spend time each month visiting and providing companionship to terminally ill patients. If you have a pet you think would be a great therapy animal we'd love to have you!

AseraCare Hospice is a program of palliative and supportive services that provide physical, psychological, social and/or spiritual care for terminally ill persons and their families.
