This internship wil allow you to become well vetted in different research and data gathering tactical. You will learn how to present information, learn how to provide thoughtful recommendationsl This can also be used as a community credit at school.
Granny’s Place Ministries provide educational and outreach services which seek to mentor at risk youth and adults. Currently we are looking for a dedicated intern interested in learning and working with diverse groups in the community. Interns will learn how to use an assessment tool, project management and document administration.
Duties/Responsibilities:
+Assist in providing outreach services to eligible clients through telephone, email and correspondence, including responding to client inquiries regarding programs and services offered
+Assist client with filling out online application for Texas Health & Human Services.
+Assist client with referrals for assistance with rent, utilities and food.
+Contact clients with community information
+Log in all calls and direct calls to proper agency or client.
+Assist client intake, and other administrative duties as needed
+Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
+High School diploma/GED required
+Organizational skills and attention to detail
+Written and verbal communication skills
Length of Commitment:
At least 2 semesters or on-going or summer
Schedule: Flexible schedule for 10 to 25 hours per week between Monday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
