These positions will develop and implement capacity-building strategies that will help Generation Schools Network(GSN) to further engage the community and connect with schools, students, and community partners. The main areas of focus will be Marketing and Social Media Communications, Curriculum Development, and continuing development of GSN’s College and Career Readiness services.
Effective: June 12, 2017-August 4, 11, or 18, 2017
Denver Office Positions Available:
1. Marketing and Social Media Communications: Help GSN to further engage the community and connect with schools, funders, and community partners.
2. Curriculum Development: Support the development of social/emotional learning (SEL) and college and career readiness (CCR) curriculum. Finish curriculum development of 4 SEL/CCR units. Write lesson plans and coordinate the process of copy-editing and graphic designed performed by external contractors.
3. College and Career Service and Event Support: Establish and implement community and stakeholder engagement strategies to support the recruitment of volunteers, sponsors, and funders for GSN’s Peak Readiness Events and Career Exploration. Support the planning, managing, preparation, and funding of the events including mock interview day, military career workshop, etc.
Trinidad Office Positions Available:
1. Marketing and Social Media Communications: Assess the current state of the Colorado Rural Education Collaborative’s(CREC) efforts to use social media platforms for communication between schools and community members and create or revise policies, procedures, and strategies to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of communications. Help CREC to consistently reach a broader audience with clear communication about its programming by developing and editing marketing and presentation materials such as newsletters, flyers, information packets, brochures, and PowerPoint presentations.
2. Grant Management and Support: Provide additional summer supper to students enrolled in the Bullying Prevention (BP) and Expelled and At-Risk Student Services(EARSS) programs to prevent summer learning loss.
Education/Training/Experience
Some college or bachelor’s degree preferred
Competency with Microsoft office
Salary:
$400 every two weeks, plus end of service benefit
