Mission Statement

Our mission is to battle hunger and improve the wellness of our community by: Securing food and providing it to partner agencies who feed the hungry; fostering public awareness; and managing direct distribution programs. Our Vision is a hunger-free Northeast Louisiana!

Description

There is more than enough food in America to feed every man, woman and child, yet here in Northeast Louisiana, over 71,000 people struggle with hunger. The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana procures, sorts, inventories and provides food to our partner agencies for distribution into their local communities. In addition, the Food Bank operates three programs that directly provide food to those most vulnerable - our children and seniors. Together, as a hunger-relief network, we serve over 24,000 people monthly. The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana, a member of Feeding America, is leading the fight against hunger in our community.
