Human Rights Committee

We are currently accepting letters of interest from community members who would like to serve as a volunteer on our Human Rights Committee. The responsibility of the Committee is to promote, safeguard, and protect the human dignity and the legal rights and liberties of the clients served by Valley Educational Associates, Inc. consistent with the Department of Developmental Services. This is accomplished through the Committee's review of agency protocols and practices. Qualified candidates are Parents and/or Advocates of this population, or community members who work in the legal, clinical, or nursing arenas.

The position will require attendance to a majority of Committee meetings that occur during evening hours on an every-other month basis. These meetings are typically held in the agency’s administrative offices located in Hatfield, MA.

Only letters of interest that identify your qualifications for the Committee will be accepted.
