Retired? Don’t know how to fill up your morning or long afternoons? Volunteer with AccentCare Hospice and change someone’s life! AccentCare Hospice is seeking people who are kind-hearted and possess compassion to spend time with our patients nearing the end of life. We are looking for individuals to join our Hospice Volunteer Team!
We are looking for individuals to volunteer 2-4x per week to visit with our patients who are located at home and in nursing homes near you.
We assign all volunteers in the areas around your home for your convenience. Scheduling is based on your availability.
AccentCare Hospice Volunteers are fully trained and oriented in Hospice and various other topics to best support our patients and their families. Training will ensure each volunteer is given the instruction needed to guarantee a rewarding and positive experience.
Through their commitment to AccentCare Hospice, volunteers can impact patients in extraordinary ways. Weather reading the newspaper to a patient, sitting outside chatting, listening to music, watch a great movie classic, doing life reviews, your time will be well spent and very rewarding!
Portuguese and other languages speaking a plus!!
If you have experience a personal loss within the last 12 months, it is requested you wait at least 12 months from your loss before volunteering in hospice.
