Alternatives to Violence Project
Peaceful Relationships . . . We all seek them, and yet, conflict is a natural and inevitable part of everyday life. AVP (Alternative to Violence Project) experiential workshops can help you get a handle on resolving conflicts peacefully and are both fun and informative.
Our next Basic (entry level) Virtual workshop will be Jan 22-24:
Jan 22 - 5pm - 8pm PST
Jan 23 - 8 am - noon and 1pm - 4pm PST
Jan 24 - 8am - noon and 1pm - 4pm PST
Participant must attend all sessions to receive a certificate of completion. Everyone is welcome but we have limited seating. A $25-$50 sliding scale is requested to support the AVP program. This workshop is great for personal growth and is also the first of 3 workshops required to become a volunteer facilitator.
Looking for a way of serving the community? AVP will train you to be a volunteer facilitator in the community and/or prison. More information will be given at the Basic workshop.

To empower people to lead nonviolent lives through affirmation, respect for all, community building, cooperation, and trust.
Founded in and developed from the real life experiences of prisoners and others, and building on a spiritual base, AVP encourages every person's innate power to positively transform themselves and the world.
AVP/USA is an association of community based groups and prison based groups offering experiential workshops in personal growth and creative conflict management. The national organization provides support for the work of these local groups
We facilitate 18-20 hour experiential workshops focused on communication and conflict resolution. We help people find their strengths in these areas and to develop new skills. This is a 30-year program presented all over the world in schools, communities and in prisons.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
