About

Do you want to spend your free time on something both innovative and rewarding? Are you interested in making a global impact, but haven't yet found a project worth sinking your teeth into? Does the thought of an internship that both extends your skill set and looks great on your resume sound appealing? If you answered yes to these questions, then we want to hear from you.

Interning with us means joining a team whose goals are to engage with the world's most pressing challenges. We inspire people to critically evaluate and take action on global issues like world poverty, animal welfare, and developing technologies.

.impact and SHIC empower a global network of hundreds of groups around the world who are working towards a single goal: to do the most good for the world.

.impact is an international hub for effective altruism projects, a community space where members collaborate to develop and spread ideas about how to do good in the most effective ways possible. Students for High-Impact Charity (SHIC) has created a specialized curriculum to teach secondary school and university students about effective altruism and help them launch their own high-impact charity projects.

.impact and SHIC are jointly seeking talented, motivated interns to work on a number of different projects. The internship is remote, can be started at any time and can last from a few weeks to a few months, and will be tailored to your skills and interests. You'll need to be able to work at least 15 hours per week, however, when you work during the week is flexible. Your responsibilities will vary, but might include things like doing research for the SHIC curriculum and outreach to potential SHIC participant schools, managing volunteers, website editing and copywriting, and graphic design. You will help support the most effective charities in the world, all while growing your existing skills and building new competencies.

Our ideal applicant thrives on a high degree of autonomy in decision making and project management, and has excellent organizational and communication skills. General familiarity with technology is necessary, and experience with web development and writing is a plus.
