The Korean American Center will host the 8th annual Irvine Korean Cultural Festival, a full day event designed to celebrate and share Korean cultural heritage and artistic traditions. This free community event is a culture-filled extravaganza complete with fine Korean cuisine, games, art, music, and entertainment. The event has attracted not only Irvine residents, but has been a major draw for residents throughout Orange County. This year about 6,000 people are expected to attend.
The Festival will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 10am - 5pm at the Irvine Civic Center. The festival is made possible through the help of around 200 volunteers who work the course of the day, along with some pre and post-festival work.
Volunteer shifts for the day will be from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Pre-Event and Post Event positions also available.
Each shift will last between 2 to 4 hours, depending on the position.
Signing up for multiple positions and/or shifts is highly encouraged!
All volunteers will get a T-Shirt and food voucher.
Team Leader Positions: Must be 18 years+ and able to attend training/orientation workshop on Saturday, May 6th at 10am at the Irvine Civic Center.

Korean American Center (KAC) (formally known as: Orange County Korean/American Cultural Exchange OCKACE) is made up of Koreans and non-Koreans who are interested in promoting Korean language and culture. We are a non-relegious and non-political organization.
The Korean American Center is a nonprofit organization based in Irvine, CA dedicated to building connections between intergenerational Korean-Americans and others in the community by promoting opportunities for appreciation of Korea’s rich cultural heritage. We do this through hosting the Irvine Korean Cultural Festival, a formal Korean language program, Korean/English language exchange, fostering educational opportunities and workshops designed to educate people about Korean culture, and by providing opportunities for community activities, which further promote our purpose.
