This 30 year old annual Spring street festival is located on Historic Grand Avenue between Escondido Blvd and Ivy in beautiful Historic Downtown Escondido.

Under new management by the Escondido Downtown Business Association, in addition to the traditional street fair format, this year’s festival will include Professional Live Music, Beer & Wine Garden, Art in the Garden and more. Shop from hundreds of vendors including unique hand-crafted gifts and imports, and international cuisine.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS DESCRIBED BELOW:

1.) TITLE: BEER/WINE GARDEN POUR

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 4-6

TIME: 9am - 6pm

AGE: 21+

DESCRIPTION: Pour in the Beer & Wine Garden - NOTE: MUST ATTEND 20 MIN ABC SERVER CLASS AT 9AM TO QUALIFY

2.) TITLE: BEER/WINE GARDEN SECURITY/ID CHECKER

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 4

TIME: 9am - 6pm

AGE: 21+

DESCRIPTION: Security at entrance/exit of Beer & Wine Garden to check ID/wristbands and ensure no alcohol leaves the fenced beer/wine garden area. - NOTE: MUST ATTEND 20 MIN ABC SERVER CLASS AT 9AM TO QUALIFY

3.) TITLE: GENERAL SET UP / TAKE DOWN / SIGN HOLDER / FLOATER

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: 6

TIME: 8am - 1pm AND/OR 1pm-6pm

8AM-1PM - SET UP - POP UP TENTS, TABLES, CHAIRS, STAGE, BANNERS, ETC. + EVENT SIGN HOLDER
1PM-6PM - TAKE DOWN - POP UP TENTS, TABLES, CHAIRS, STAGE, BANNERS, ETC. + EVENT SIGN HOLDER

Description

The Escondido Downtown Business Association is comprised of volunteers and Downtown Escondido Business owners. Meetings are held with local merchants to discuss and resolve various improvements and issues in the downtown area. Events are held in order to promote the downtown businesses as well as generate funds to improve the downtown area in matters of beautification, aesthetics, lighting, parking, safety, etc. A few of our events include the Escondido Street Festival (Spring), Grand Avenue Festival (Fall), Escondido Tamale Festival, For The Love of Chocolate, Escondido Chocolate Festival and The Wedge, Escondido Cheese Festival.

Community Volunteers are needed from time to time to help with these events. Please contact us to see where you can best be utilized. We're thankful to our volunteers and excited to work with you!
