Description

Malashock Dance advances the art and experience of dance by creating original works that communicate, challenge, entertain, and encourage new forms of personal expression. Currently in our 27th Season, Malashock Dance is an active contributor to the vibrancy of San Diego’s cultural life, serving residents of the San Diego region, visitors in search of cultural activities, and the dance community as a whole. Founded by John Malashock in 1988 following his extensive career in dance and theater, the Company performs in various San Diego venues and events and tours nationally and internationally.

Malashock Dance opened its school in 2007, greatly expanding its connection to the community through a full spectrum of educational offerings. The Malashock Dance School provides a comprehensive array of modern dance classes, workshops, master classes, and education outreach activities for children, teens, adults, and professional dancers.
