VNA of the Treasure Coast Hospice is seeking volunteers for our "We Honor Veterans" program.
Volunteers make visits to Hospice Veteran Patients in appreciation and recognition of their military service. Visits take place in patients' homes or facilities such as nursing homes or the Hospice House.
Patients receive a certificate of appreciation, lapel pin, hand-knitted patriotic blanket, and a musical bear that plays the song for their specific branch of service.

Description
The VNA of the Treasure Coast provides home healthcare services-including Medicare-reimbursed and private-duty nursing; home health aides; physical, speech, and ... occupational therapy; in-home companions; and personal transportation-throughout the Treasure Coast.
The agency is also the only licensed hospice provider in Indian River County, offering end-of-life care in patients’ homes, local hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and the VNA Hospice House.
The non-profit organization also provides community wellness services such as flu vaccinations, no-cost blood pressure/blood sugar screenings, and speakers on health-related topics for local community groups.
