Every year Blue Jay Point County Park seeks volunteers to help at our annual free Songbird Celebration festival celebrating International Migratory Bird Day and the return of our feathered friends. Opportunities include running game booths and craft tables, parking assistance and event clean-up. Songbird Celebration is a great volunteer opportunity for middle school age and up! If you are a teen or an adult, you can register for a volunteer shift here: http://www.wakegov.com/parks/bluejay/Pages/volunteer.aspx
We have mulitple shifts to choose from: 10am-1pm, 10am-4pm, 1pm-4pm, 3pm-5pm Please follow the link above, scroll half way down page to sign up for a shift.

Mission Statement
Blue Jay Point County Park is a 236-acre park that was once primarily agricultural land. A majority of this acreage is now second-growth forestlands. We have roughly three acres dedicated to open play fields, playgrounds, an environmental education center and an overnight lodge. There are five miles of trails within the park.
