The English Ball

The St. George's Society of New York is seeking an experienced volunteer photographer to join us at our Annual English Ball. Details of the ball are listed below. We are looking to meet the photographer at the venue a few days before to discuss the timeline and layout, and our goals for the video in addition to having them attend the night of for video.

The St. George’s Society English Ball, held to mark the feast of England’s patron, Saint George, has been held almost continuously since the founding of the Society back in 1770, when it was known as the Sons of St. George. In 1995, the Society established the Medal of Honor, to recognize a person for exemplary service to British interests and/or the international community at large and it was decided that this honor would be awarded every year at the English Ball. The English Ball has developed into a major fundraiser which enables the Society to fulfill its historical mission of giving support and relief to those less fortunate in the New York area. The Society receives no government funding and all monies raised through Ball participation go directly to the social care and financial well-being of the beneficiaries.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please email our Events Manager, Eliane Abou-Assi, at eliane@stgeorgessociety.org with examples of your work.
