We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to volunteer and work at our clinic in Cambodia for a short or medium term period.

To provide some background, PPAWS goal is to improve the welfare of animals, in particular, cats & dogs, in Phnom Penh and Cambodia as a whole. We educate schools and other groups on animal care and welfare and, we operate a small, not for profit veterinary clinic which provides the money (along with donations) to fund the charitable works we perform to try to improve the wellbeing of animals. We do this by working with the Pagodas (temples) to assist the Monks with the stray cat & dog population as well as, any abandoned or injured animals. We also run missions to the provinces in Cambodia to both work with the Pagodas there and, support the poorer Cambodian people who cannot afford veterinary / medical treatments for their pets, as you’ll see from one of our web pages

At our small veterinary clinic we currently have three vets, two newly qualified and one who is our main vet and has circa 3-4 years’ experience working at PPAWS. Whilst they all have various degrees of experience in typical medical procedures, they all need additional training and mentoring to improve their medical surgery capabilities.

This is why we are seeking volunteer Vets to help support achieve this objective.
