About

We are looking for campaign research volunteers who can conduct in-depth research on the California Forest Carbon Plan, Senate Bill 32 and other program-related topics. This is a great opportunity to learn more about California's forests and strategies in fighting to protect them, as well as learn about the legislative process and environmental/conservation issues. Please note that this is an unpaid, volunteer position.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and analyze scientific studies, articles and up-to-date data on forestry management
  • Compile research, generate reports and e-alerts
  • Report directly to the Executive Director

Qualifications

  • Able to commit to 5-10hours/week, 2 month minimum
  • BA or BS in related field, scientific literacy strongly preferred
  • Strong interest in environmental policy and advocacy
  • Independent,self-motivated individual
  • Excellent verbal, reading and writing skills
