ADA Camp Sealth is a special place. Located on beautiful Vashon Island, camp offers children with diabetes the opportunity to attend summer camp in a fun, safe environment alongside children without diabetes. We offer scholarships to ensure no child is turned away due to financial hardship.

The American Diabetes Association relies on a team of exceptional volunteers to make sure our campers can focus on enjoying summer camp, not worrying about their diabetes management. We need your help!

Who: Doctors, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists and health assistants, but we also have non-medical roles! Free training is provided prior to camp.

What: Volunteer to help children with type 1 diabetes manage their blood sugars while at Camp.

Where: Camp Sealth on Vashon Island

When: Monday, August 6-Saturday, August 11. We ask that volunteers attend for at least 3 days and 2 nights. Room and board is provided.

Benefits: Gain experience helping children with type 1 diabetes manage the disease, learn about new diabetes technology, work with medical professionals from across Washington State, and enjoy the natural beauty of summer on Vashon Island!
